It's brushes down and the latest commission painting is finished! Some of the greens have been subdued and the trees and fields in the background lightened. I feel that I have captured the essence of the vineyard without too much fiddly detail.

Landscapes paintings contain a lot of green - and they are a real challenge! Getting close now. Need to lighten the back area a little and make it the whole painting "less green". Have to be careful with the detail in the last stage of the painting, I don't want to end up with too much detail and lose the feel of the place I am striving for.
